Economic & Regulatory Shifts Have Created a Challenging Year for Legal Teams
In light of economic and budgetary concerns, it is not surprising that legal departments are focusing on reducing litigation and e-discovery costs. Historically, these costs are a “big ticket” item, and a natural place to hunt for savings.
However, over half of respondents (52%) acknowledge that they have a relatively immature in-house e-discovery function (using either an “ad hoc” or “part time” approach to e-discovery management). For such organizations, it will be essential to build a more formal e-discovery structure including the definition, measurement and tracking of key metrics.
