The eCommerce boom has strained supply chains end-to-end but has caused particular stress on last mile delivery networks. There is an urgent need for scalable, easy to deploy technology that allows us to meet demand variations while increasing operational efficiency.
As we all know, the past year has presented a tumultuous environment for supply chain
businesses. Faced with persistent supply constraints and frequent shifts in customer demand, our workshop participants noted that long-held hesitation over technological change had finally caught up to the logistics industry, in particular last mile. This part of the logistics network has been thrust to the center of the customer experience with firms now looking into restructuring last mile practices to enhance the delivery experience.
