Delivering Customer-Focused Innovation
Recent disruptions have tested companies in a multitude of ways, none more so than their ability to innovate. When looking at the behaviours of those leading innovation at this moment, as opposed to those who follow, this latest HBR report presents some timely insights. In a survey of 585 business executives globally, findings suggest organisations that are navigating this time the best, are those who work back from their customers, with 66% saying their innovation strategy is led by the needs of their customers, compared to 51% of followers. Suggesting time is of the essence, 76% who say innovation is a high priority for their business, expect an increase in the velocity of innovation over the next 12 months.
