Automotive companies are crafting strategies to grow in the new market, and technology has a key role in those plans. In a survey of 1,500 automotive executives across 11 countries, 50% of respondents said that their organizations need digital reinvention to succeed (or simply survive).
As IT leaders prepare to digitally reinvent their organizations to remain competitive, they face several challenges that can be solved with automation. IT teams are accountable for maintaining application performance, security, and reliability, but talent shortages and budgetary restrictions make it difficult to:
- Scale the IT function of a growing or changing organization.
- Maintain IT infrastructure and application deployment with time-consuming manual and script-based methods.
- Reserve time to recruit new employees and retrain existing talent to address ongoing projects and the IT team’s expanding role in the automotive enterprise.
