Jeans Fritz Consolidates Primary and Secondary Storage to Cloudian
Founded in 1997, Jeans Fritz is a German retailer with approximately 300 stores, in addition to an online e-commerce site. Jeans Fritz generates approximately 90TB of data, customer and otherwise, that needs to be stored securely while remaining highly available. Under its previous architecture, the retailer secured and mirrored this data across two data centres using DataCore storage virtualization software. Data that had not been accessed during the last 12 months was archived to a traditional backup system.
However, there were challenges as data volumes grew. Their primary storage system required a costly expansion, and, as the backup data environment was not redundant, it put the system at risk of data loss.
Read this case study to understand how Jeans Fritz was able to eliminate the need for complex data tiering using Cloudian’s HyperStore Object Storage.
