Scandit: The Future of Store Operations – Research Report
For Scandit AG’s latest study, “The Future of Store Operations,” leading retailers across Europe were surveyed about the challenges, opportunities and impact of new in-store technologies in omnichannel stores. The surveyed executives from the largest grocery, DIY, sports and electronics brands see innovative technological solutions for store operations as essential to meeting their business goals.
Some (37%) said that successful approaches in this regard focus on improving the customer experience. However, the user experience provided to employees on site was also a concern for some – 29 percent saw this as the biggest challenge in DACH and CEE.
When asked about the future main role of the physical store, the answers were clear: At 71 percent, almost three-quarters of respondents stated that a hybrid of online and offline retail will become the norm, with 61 percent mentioning a unique position against competitors as the biggest challenge in terms of execution. However, only half of all respondents are working toward improving the employee-customer relationship. Read the full survey results now in Scandit’s study.
